“Nuevo Paraiso” Technical high school was created on July 29, 1992 as per Accord No. 2195, and it is located in Nuevo Paraiso, in Moroceli Valley, El Paraiso. It began to operate with only 140 students. Presently there are 345 students, boys and girls, who attend the School from 7:00 to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday, age 13 to 20 years.
This School has a regional coverage, serving the following rural communities: Nuevo Paraiso, Nueva Esperanza, Villa de San Francisco, Guadalajara, Ojo de Agua, Guayabillas and Moroceli.
It is the only polytechnic education center that provides daytime classes, offering young people the opportunity to receive training on technical careers at a medium-term. The study plan includes 3 school years, 9 subjects of general and national culture (history, geography, math, grammar, etc.), and basic modules of technical training on carpentry and cabinetwork, metal structures, home economics, agriculture and animal farming.
